Parkfields Day Centre is a voluntary organisation consisting of elderly members, over 50 years old, meeting once a week.


Parkfields Day Centre was founded in 1997.


Their aims is:


  • To provide a social setting to keep mind and body active.

  • Promote the benefit of the members by social activities.

  • Provide mental and physical stimulation.

  • Provide a cooked meal.


The overall aim is to go forward gracefully, at the same time, ensuring social inclusion and support for the vulnerable in our organisation.


Parkfield Day Centre activities include:


Gentle exercise; craft work; sewing; knitting, glass painting, hat making, board games, discussing various topics and reminiscing.


They have a monthlyy health check of blood pressure and blood sugar. Aromatherapy is also used once a month.


Parkfields Day Centre largely depend on donations and funding to survive.
