Moreland Trust CIC
We set up a community interest company (CIC) in February 2014. This has allowed Moreland Trust to establish a social enterprise. It was important for us to ensure that any business activities undertaken by the Trust will mean any profits and assets will be re-invested back into the business or into the local community.
How will the community benefit?
The community will benefit by:
The provision of services that encourage the independence of older people through the promotion of re-enablement and self-care allowing people to be able to stay in their own homes for longer.
The provision of services concerned with the promotion of health and wellbeing and the reduction of loneliness and isolation experience by many older people.
Providing opportunities for volunteering and employment. With a growing aging population and the anticipated demands on health and social care services in the future it is important that communities capacity build.
Providing services that are affordable, of good quality that people want now and in the future.
