Fit as a Fiddle
We worked with Age UK who delivered their "Fit as a Fiddle" programme.
Over the years staff and volunteers received training to engage older people in opportunities for meaningful physical activity and wellbeing.
The programme provided a more holistic, coordinated approach to services and activities that can improve quality of life and increase healthy life expectancy; delaying the need for more intensive, costly health and social care and therefore enabling people to maintain their independence for longer.
There is also a focus on understanding faith and culture when engaging older people from black and minority ethnic communities into these opportunities.
