33% of people living in Wolverhampton are aged 50 or over (78,720). Between half and two thirds of people are aged 55-74 are overweight or obese and therefore at greater risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and osteoarthritis.

We support many of our beneficiaries to better manage their health conditions.  Our services provide older people with the tools to live healthier lifestyles, remain independent, stay in their own homes and achieve a better quality of life.


A high proportion of our service users have the following health issues:


  • High colesterol

  • High blood pressure

  • Diabetes

  • Stroke

  • Prostrate Problems


A number are also living with dementia, whether it be diagnosed or undiagnosed and have associated mental health issues.


We have a vast amount of experience and have developed expertise in supporting beneficiaries with a variety of health conditions through education, activities and advocacy.
